The Tern GSD R14 utilizes a 7005 aluminum frameset featuring a custom Suntour suspension fork with 70 mm of travel and a patented MultiTruss design. This chassis incorporates 20-inch Atlas wheels with a Schwalbe Big Ben Plus front and Super Moto-X rear tire and functions as a heavy-duty long-tail cargo bike with a 200 kg MGVW. The platform employs Magura MT5 four-piston hydraulic disc brakes to regulate stopping power. Its construction features an integrated rear rack, Atlas Lockstand, and an adjustable cockpit to facilitate riders from 150 cm to 195 cm.

This system generates 85 Nm of torque via a Bosch Cargo Line drive unit and consists of a 500 Wh Bosch PowerPack (DualBattery ready for up to 1000 Wh). The drivetrain transfers power through a 14-speed Rohloff E14 electronic internal gear hub and a Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt. A Bosch Intuvia display connects the electrical components, while the system regulates automatic downshifting when stationary. The battery sits on the frame and connects to a Bosch 4A charger, providing high-torque assistance for heavy loads and steep gradients.
